Jamie Foxx has often described fatherhood as a central part of his life. The actor has two daughters, Corinne, whom he shares with Connie Kline, and Anelise, whose mother is Kristin Grannis. In 2026, Foxx and his girlfriend, Alyce Huckstepp, welcomed his third child, according to the report.

Foxx credited Corinne with looking after him in the lead-up to his Netflix special, “Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was.” Speaking to Us Weekly in March 2025, he said she made sure he was protected, while also praising Anelise for having the courage to appear in front of the audience.

Anelise joined her father onstage during the special, playing guitar. Foxx told Us Weekly that they had not rehearsed the moment, and said he was moved by her performance. He also recalled encouraging her to let her music speak for itself when she asked about creating an Instagram account to promote it.

Foxx’s special included reflections on a 2023 health scare. He said he had suffered a brain bleed that led to a stroke. The following year, he hosted Corinne’s wedding to Joe Hooten at his home in Thousand Oaks, California, and walked her down the aisle. Speaking about the experience to Us Weekly in 2025, he called it amazing.

Corinne described the wedding as especially meaningful after her father’s health scare. She walked down the aisle to a string arrangement of Ray Charles’ “Georgia on My Mind,” a song with a connection to her father’s Oscar-winning portrayal of the musician. Corinne told Vogue in October 2024 that the moment brought guests to tears.

When Corinne announced her engagement in December 2023, Foxx celebrated the couple in an Instagram post, praising the care they showed for each other and saying he had tissues ready for the wedding. Hooten later told Vogue that seeing Corinne and Foxx walk down the aisle moved him and that Foxx’s example had influenced how he thought about fatherhood.
