Hudson Williams has addressed questions about his relationship with Connor Storrie during an appearance on CBC’s The Assembly. The episode, which premiered on Sunday, November 1, featured the 25-year-old Heated Rivalry star responding to a question about whether he had ever felt something “more than friendship” for his co-star.

Williams answered that he had not, explaining that he and Storrie quickly came to view themselves as “platonic soulmates” who were completely in love with each other as friends. He said their friendship became stable and meaningful because they felt comfortable being themselves around one another.

The actor also described their physical affection, saying they could cuddle for hours and simply mean that they cared deeply for each other, without wanting a romantic relationship. His phrasing prompted laughter from the interviewers, and Williams acknowledged that the expression he used was not a common saying.

The Assembly is a CBC series in which celebrities and public figures are interviewed by a group of interviewers who are on the autism spectrum. The question about Storrie had previously appeared in the program’s trailer, and clips of Williams’ response circulated online after the episode aired.

Williams and Storrie began discussing their close friendship during press appearances after Heated Rivalry debuted in late 2025. The pair are currently filming the show’s second season and recently attended a Halloween party for the cast and crew.
