Hoda Kotb and her former fiancé, Joel Schiffman, reunited to celebrate Halloween with their daughters, Haley and Hope. The family went trick-or-treating in matching costumes: Kotb and Schiffman wore red devil horns and large egg cutouts, while the girls dressed as Poppy and Viva from the Trolls movies.

Kotb shared a video of the group on Instagram on Oct. 31. Posing outside her home, she captioned it, “Happy halloween.”

The Halloween outing was not the first time Kotb and Schiffman have come together for a family occasion. In September, they were both there to see their daughters off on their first day of school. Kotb shared photos of the drop-off and noted that Haley was starting fourth grade and Hope second grade.

Kotb has previously spoken about the relationship she and Schiffman share after ending their engagement four years ago. On Today last year, she said she still loved him, describing their bond as a different kind of love and their current relationship as the right one for them.

She has also said they are co-parenting as close friends and are honest with their daughters about caring for each other. Kotb said the girls know that both parents love them and that her affection for Schiffman is genuine.
