Henry Morris says he would be willing to collaborate with his former girlfriend, singer Adéla, on a song about their relationship after the breakup.
The Los Angeles-based alternative artist told Page Six that working together in the studio could be a unique way to close that chapter of his life. “I would totally do it,” Morris said, describing the potential track as an interesting way to express their experiences.
Morris, 27, and Adéla, 22, dated for most of 2024 before ending their relationship in early 2025. Since then, both musicians have addressed the romance through their own work.
Adéla has referred to an ex as an inspiration for some of her writing, including “Starving Artist,” a song that fans have associated with Morris. He also included a track about his former girlfriend, “High All the Time,” on his new album, “Kiss Me Extra Hard,” which was released the previous week and features G-Eazy.
Morris said there is no bad blood between them. He recently contacted Adéla to congratulate her on the success of “Nicole Kidman,” the song named after the Oscar-winning actress, and the pair discussed the songs they had written about each other.
According to Morris, their conversation was positive and came after they had not spoken for a long time. He also joked about lyrics concerning his financial struggles during the relationship, saying he now has a bed frame while keeping his closet of gray sweatpants.
Both artists have upcoming projects. Adéla is scheduled to continue her Red Bottom tour in December at TD Garden in Boston, while Morris is set to begin an international tour with Artemas this month.
Morris described “Kiss Me Extra Hard” as the most concise and thematically focused album he has made. Among its 11 tracks is “Rather Fight,” whose line about preferring conflict with one person to happiness with someone else reflects the record’s focus on intense connection and shared understanding.
