Juan Pablo Di Pace is making his Broadway debut in the Tony-winning musical ‘Schmigadoon!’, and fellow Hallmark actors Sarah Drew and Peter Porte have visited the Nederlander Theatre to see him perform. Di Pace is playing Doc during original cast member Ivan Hernandez’s scheduled four-week leave of absence.
Drew praised the production in an Instagram Stories post, calling the show “AMAZING” and Di Pace “INCREDIBLE” in his Broadway debut. She and Di Pace previously appeared together in the 2024 Hallmark movie ‘Branching Out’. Di Pace and Porte starred in the 2020 LGBTQ+ romantic comedy ‘Dashing in December’.
Di Pace’s engagement is scheduled to run through Sunday, November 22. ‘Schmigadoon!’ is adapted from the Apple TV series of the same name and stars Alex Brightman and Sara Chase as a couple who find themselves in a town where life unfolds as a musical. The Broadway production, initially planned as a limited engagement, has been extended through April 2027 and is now an open-ended run.
Drew, Di Pace and Porte also have Hallmark holiday projects scheduled this month. The third season of Drew’s ‘Mistletoe Murders’ premieres November 5, Di Pace’s ‘Holiday Unplugged’ airs November 7, and Porte’s ‘The Most Wonderful Secret’ debuts November 28.
