Michigan Congresswoman Haley Stevens has reportedly asked the U.S. Marshals Service for protection after receiving death threats, according to two senior Trump administration officials cited by Axios. One official said Stevens had received threats and contacted the service. The officials said her request must go through a review process, but they expected it to be granted because she is a member of Congress.

The request follows a late shift in Stevens’ endorsements. She withdrew her support for Abdul El-Sayed and backed Republican Mike Rogers, drawing criticism from Democrats. Stevens has said she withdrew her endorsement of El-Sayed because she believes he is not fit to serve in the Senate. The report also says members of her staff quit amid the backlash.
