Adam Robinson and his family were traveling to The Bahamas for a birthday celebration when the Learjet 60 they were aboard crashed in Palm Beach County, according to TMZ. The family had planned to spend about a week there.
Robinson, his wife Helen Sharp and their children, Emma, 4, and Charlie, 2, were among the nine people killed. The jet had departed Austin, Texas, and was heading to North Eleuthera Airport when it crashed in a residential area Sunday, just miles from Mar-a-Lago.
Also killed were family friends Rachael Reed and Charmi Fehr, owners of the Arca Roatán Boutique Hotel in Honduras; Anita Maria Cetina, who helped care for the children; and the plane’s two pilots.
In a statement Monday, the families described Adam and Helen as devoted parents and said Emma and Charlie were the light of their lives. They also called the couple’s relationship “the love affair that will last forever.”
The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the cause of the crash.
