Emma Roberts and her husband, Cody John, are starting a trading card business together. Their live channel, Summer Breaks, will feature the couple opening packs of cards, with an official launch planned for November 4.
Roberts announced the venture on Instagram on October 31, describing trading cards as a passion she has developed over the years. In a video posted two days earlier, she joked that her interest in cards was one of the things people knew her for, alongside her acting career.
The couple have also shared glimpses of their collecting. Roberts said a Star Wars Galaxy 2021 Leap of Faith card, given to her by John, is especially meaningful to her. She also highlighted a sketch of the Jungle Cruise ride from a Disneyland card set, noting that it is a favorite of her five-year-old son, Rhodes.
Roberts has previously spoken about collecting dolls, another hobby she has shared publicly. She keeps her trading cards in protective sleeves, while saying she prefers to take her dolls out of their boxes and enjoy them.
