Democratic lawmakers are signaling plans to investigate Trump administration officials and allies after their party’s gains in Tuesday’s midterm elections. Representative Robert Garcia of California urged Republicans to “LAWYER UP,” while Oregon Senator Ron Wyden posted a one-word warning on X: “Subpoenas.”
Illinois Representative Delia Ramirez named Kristi Noem, Markwayne Mullin, Tom Homan and Greg Bovino in a list of people in her sights. Massachusetts Senator Ed Markey joked on X that the volume of subpoenas Democrats planned to print would require planting new forests.
The source report said Democrats had been in the minority in both chambers before the election and claimed they had taken control of the House and Senate following Tuesday’s results.
