CNN anchor Abby Phillip and her husband, Marcus Richardson, have welcomed their second child, a boy named Maxwell Elias Richardson. Phillip, who hosts NewsNight with Abby Phillip, shared the news on Instagram and said the family was overjoyed to welcome their son.

Maxwell was born at home on October 27 with the help of the couple’s midwife, Phillip said. She added that he was eating and sleeping well. The couple also have a four-year-old daughter, Naomi.

Phillip told People that the couple conceived their second child through IVF. She described the process as emotionally and physically challenging, and expressed gratitude that it had been successful while sharing support for families still pursuing IVF.
