Bridget Fonda made a rare public appearance in Los Angeles on Nov. 2. The 62-year-old actress last appeared on screen in the 2002 miniseries Snow Queen, more than 24 years ago.

Fonda was seen having lunch with a friend in a casual outfit: a white T-shirt, black sweatpants and an oversized yellow shirt, with white sneakers and a black bag. She wore her hair in a ponytail.

Since stepping away from acting, Fonda has largely stayed out of the public eye. She has focused on her family life with her husband, musician and composer Danny Elfman, whom she has been married to for 23 years, and their 21-year-old son, Oliver.

Fonda has said she does not plan to return to acting. In 2023, she told a photographer, as reported by the Daily Mail, “It’s too nice being a civilian.”

She is part of a prominent acting family: her grandfather was Henry Fonda, her father was actor Peter Fonda, and her aunt is Jane Fonda. Bridget Fonda has also described her upbringing as more ordinary than some people might assume, despite her family’s Hollywood ties.
