Bill Belichick showed little interest in addressing reports about his split from Jordon Hudson during a Monday press conference, responding with sarcasm when a reporter asked about the story.

A local beat writer asked whether TMZ’s report that Belichick and Hudson had ended their relationship would affect them moving forward. Belichick replied, “Do you work for a tabloid now?” The reporter answered, “Unfortunately, no.”

Belichick then made clear that he would not discuss his personal life, saying, “I’ll keep my personal comments and relationships to myself. That’s alright with you.”

According to the report, Belichick and Hudson quietly broke up late last year but have remained close and continued working together on business ventures. The split reportedly surprised some of Belichick’s colleagues at UNC. TMZ also obtained photos of the former couple spending time together in Nantucket in July, months after the reported breakup. Hudson has also been dating other people, according to the report.

The questions came as Belichick’s North Carolina team began preparations for its upcoming game against UConn. The Tar Heels had narrowly missed a major upset against top-ranked Miami on Saturday, losing 38-35.
