Allison Williams and her father, former NBC News anchor Brian Williams, made a rare joint public appearance in New York City on Nov. 2, attending a 10th-anniversary concert celebrating the revival of Falsettos at Carnegie Hall. They posed for photos together at the event.
The Girls actress wore a black turtleneck with jeans, a brown belt, glasses and colorful beaded bracelets. Brian Williams paired a mustard-yellow jacket and button-up shirt with light-wash jeans.
Allison also spent time with her Girls co-star Lena Dunham, who joined the pair for a photo.
The actress has previously spoken about the advantages she feels came with her father’s fame. In a 2022 interview with WIRED, she said discussions of her career should also acknowledge the ways she has been fortunate, adding that she wanted people to recognize her work without overlooking that privilege.
In June, Allison reflected on her childhood during an appearance on her father’s Netflix series, We’re Back! With Brian Williams. She said she and her brother, Doug, felt loved and secure growing up, and described herself as lucky to have had that family experience.
