Allison Kuch balanced motherhood with a 26.2-mile race on Sunday, November 1, when she breastfed her 6-month-old daughter, Pepper, during the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon.
In an Instagram video recorded at mile marker 17, the 31-year-old influencer said, “Six months postpartum, and I’m here.” She also described mothers as powerful when they set their minds to a goal and pursue it.
Kuch received messages of support in the comments. Tyler Cameron, who has run the New York City Marathon several times, praised her for continuing at a point in the race when many runners begin to struggle. Brylee Armstrong also called Kuch her idol.
Kuch gave birth to Pepper in April. She and her husband, former NFL player Isaac Rochell, also share 2-year-old daughter Scottie. Rochell and Kuch’s sister, Emily Kuch, supported her along the course. Rochell posted a photo showing his purple Allison-inspired shirt, several cameras and a large poster featuring his wife’s face.
Earlier in the week, Kuch said she planned to run the marathon with Maybelline in support of mental health initiatives. She also explained that lactation stations along the route offered pumps at the starting line and at three stops, meaning she would not need to bring her own pump.
Kuch said she wanted her daughters to see her pursue an important goal. “I can’t give up on my dreams, my daughters are watching,” she wrote on Instagram.
The influencer has also spoken openly about the challenges of postpartum life. On the couple’s “Couldn’t Agree Less” Netflix podcast, she said her concerns after giving birth focused on sleep and mental health. Kuch added that the fourth month postpartum could be especially difficult because parents may no longer receive the same attention while still coping with breastfeeding, changing sleep patterns and the demands of caring for a more aware baby.
